Glasgow-based coffee house king Gordon Richardson is serving up a new flavour at his Beanscene chain with the launch of Beanscene Espresso, a new, faster-paced brand.
Designed to operate from High Street outlets, concessions and shopping malls, it is aimed at customers wanting a takeaway coffee, rather than drinking one at their leisure in the shop.
The first outlet has opened at Edinburgh Quay, with another to follow in March.
Gordon said: "While Beanscene offers somewhere for customers to sit back and soak up some sounds while chilling out over an espresso and a bite to eat, Beanscene Espresso will provide metropolitan customers with an on-the-go service."
Beanscene Espresso follows the launch last December of a UK-wide franchising strategy, which aims to deliver a further 25 outlets - a mix of managed and franchised stores - across Scotland within 18 months. |
